Rooted in care. Guided by intention.
Mochidot is an Asian family-owned mochi donut and coffee shop based in Central Phoenix, created around a simple belief:
how something feels matters just as much as how it tastes.
Why mochi
Mochi dough is chewy, pillowy, and deeply satisfying by nature.
We chose it not for novelty, but for texture because texture creates comfort, rhythm, and return.
Every donut is made in small batches and finished with intentional, balanced flavors designed to complement the dough, not overpower it.
How we think about flavor
Our menu rotates monthly, guided by texture first and intention always. Some flavors stay. Others change. All are created to be enjoyed slowly and returned to often.
Influenced by Asian flavors and shaped by our local community, we favor familiarity with depth over excess or spectacle.
More than a donut shop
Mochidot exists to be part of your routine — a place to pause, gather, and enjoy something made with care.
We believe food is a quiet connector. It brings people together, creates small rituals, and marks everyday moments without needing an occasion.
Where we are
You’ll find us in Central Phoenix, serving mochi donuts and coffee with warmth, consistency, and intention Tuesday-Sunday.

Grounded in ritual
Mochidot began as a conversation in 2020, during a moment of pause and uncertainty. After a layoff at the start of the pandemic, what emerged wasn’t a lifelong dream of owning a donut shop, but a question: is it possible to build something thoughtful, sustainable, and meaningful from scratch?
As sisters and business partners, we started exploring mochi donuts not because they were trendy, but because they were missing. In Central Phoenix, there were few places offering Asian-influenced desserts—let alone ones treated with care and intention. We spent months researching, testing, and refining before Mochidot opened its doors in March 2023.
Mochi dough became our foundation for a simple reason. Texture matters. The chew of rice flour creates something comforting, shareable, and familiar in a way traditional donuts don’t. It allows flavor to complement rather than overwhelm. It slows the experience down.
We believe texture matters just as much as flavor.
Mochidot isn’t built on novelty or spectacle. We’re not interested in being loud, cute, or momentary. Instead, we focus on consistency, balance, and restraint—creating donuts and coffee meant to be enjoyed slowly and returned to often.
Our menu rotates monthly, guided by texture first and intention always. Some flavors stay. Others change. All are designed to feel familiar without becoming predictable.
More than a donut shop, Mochidot is meant to be part of your daily rhythm. A place you return to. A pause in the day that feels considered and cared for.
We’re here to do one thing well—quietly, intentionally, and over time.
